The Isle of Seil Coastal Rowing Club has received a Magic Little Grant through the partnership between Localgiving and Postcode Community Trust.
We received £500 towards our new launching trolley. Our current trolley is eight years old, home-made made from offcuts – it has served us well, but bits are gradually falling off! Our rowers are not getting any younger, and the distance from the skiff berth in the boatyard to the sea is awfy long, especially at low water. Energy expended in launching and recovery may be greater than than the effort used to row! A new trolley is being made in Ayrshire, and will be ready in a fortnight, but as it is protection level 4, we can’t collect it just yet.
